Several classrooms in a school in Niger Republic’s capital Niamey has been put up in flames, killing 20 children on Tuesday as reported by the fire service commander Sidi Mohamed.
The fire broke out at around 4.00 pm when the students were in class, leaving the students helpless and unable to escape as the rescuers tried to put out the fire with the cause yet to be known.

The Prime Minister, Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou travelled to the scene of the tragedy, on the edge of the capital, to offer his condolences to the children’s parents.
