2023: PDP To Commence Door-To-Door Campaign In Borno
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Borno State says it is launching a “house-to-house campaign” to mobilise votes for its presidential, governorship, National Assembly and state legislature candidates in the forthcoming elections.
The programme coordinator, Mustapha Shehu, said this during the launch of the campaign in Maiduguri, the state capital.
Shehu added that the initiative is part of efforts to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The campaign, he explained, would be executed by about 3,000 party loyalists and volunteers, each ward producing 10 representatives from all 27 local government areas (LGAs) and internally displaced persons (IDP) camps in Borno State.
According to the coordinator, the initiative is also to reach out to the grassroots voters and sell the idea of the PDP – inclusiveness, development and security.
