23 yr old female commits suicide in Abuja
As the Covid-19 induced 14 days lockdown and stay-at-home order continues, a 23 year old lady, Rejoice on Saturday, committed suicide by drinking a deadly substance, suspected to be Sniper.
The incident took place in Mpape, a suburb of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, over alleged abandonment by her boy-friend.
According to residents in the area, Rejoice was jilted by her boyfriend and out of frustration she allegedly decided to take her own life.
One of the residents who wants to remain anonymous, said her body was found in the bathroom in her family house and immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was confirmed dead on arrival.
She has been buried.
She left behind her 18 months old daughter and other relatives that included her parents and siblings.
