Lack of Patriotism Fuels Insecurity in Nigeria -Dr Imam Mukthar

An associate professor of Strategic Studies from the Baze University, Dr Iman Mukthar, says lack of patriotism and indiscipline among Nigerians are fueling the current insecurity in Nigeria.

According to him, no government in the world derives pleasure from watching its citizens slaughtered or killed unjustly.

Speaking on The Signature Show on Africa Independent Television, AIT on Sunday, Dr Mukthar said there is a widening gap in income inequality that has created deepening insecurity in Nigerian and globally, which needs to be addressed.

Nigeria has been faced with banditry, Kidnapping and insurgency.

Dr Imam wants the Nigerian government to consider strengthening the military in equipment, improve on the high poverty level and address social conflict that encourages insecurity in order to make Nigeria a peaceful nation.
