A new airline, Binani Air ready to takeoff in Nigeria
A new airline, Binani Air, owned by the Binani Group of Companies, is set to takeoff in Nigeria.
for a major gain with plans by a reputable firm, Binani Group of Companies, to float a domestic airline.
The new carrier, expected to commence with domestic flights, has applied to the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for an Operational Licence, aviation sources said.
Binani Group of Companies was founded by a foremost politician, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani from Adamawa Central in Adamawa State.
She has, however, relinquished her stake in the firm as required by law.
The new airline when operational will help boost the Economy of the North East zone of the country especially and the entire Nigeria.
According to the company, the new airline will form a partnership with globally reliable and efficient airlines in the U.S., the Middle East, Asia and two prominent African carriers.
Binani Air will be made up of 80 per cent shareholders’ investment, creating a record of value addition in attracting Foreign Direct Investment into Nigeria.
