JUSUN Customary Court of Appeal Chapter, Elects New Executives.
The Customary Court of Appeal Abuja Chapter of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria has elected new Executives following the dissolution of the previous one.
The election which took place at the Customary Court of Appeal, Abuja, on Thursday saw the 10 elected members of the chapter sworn in and presented with the Certificate of Office.
They will be holding their position for the period of four years.

FG Rules Out Another COVID-19 Lockdown Amid Rising Cases
The Federal Government on Thursday said it was not considering a lockdown despite rising cases of COVID-19 infections across the country.
Speaking at the weekly ministerial briefing organized at the State House in Abuja, Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, said the number of cases were not threatening enough, for a lockdown to be considered.
He also revealed that the Federal Government on Thursday took delivery of 177,600 doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine with more of the J&J Vaccines expected in the country.
Nigeria is expected to step up its Covid vaccination program after receiving over four million doses of the Moderna vaccine from the US government last week.
Only about one percent of the population has been vaccinated, so far.
The second phase of the national vaccination programme is expected to kick-off next Monday.
10 Abuja Uber/Bolt drivers killed by carjackers
Over 10 Uber and Bolt drivers have been killed and their cars stolen, while many others were injured by hoodlums from January till date in Abuja the Federal Capital Territory.
This was disclosed by Uber and Bolt drivers in Abuja, under the aegis of the Online Hackney Practitioners Association of Nigeria OHPAN.
The Chairman??? of the association who lamented that the companies are not doing anything to stop the killings, however called on government to compel the ride-hailing companies to profile users of their services to check the spate of killing of drivers and use of fake names by criminals.
In reaction, the spokesperson for the police, FCT command, Mariam Yusuf, said measures were being taken to safeguard the lives of the drivers, adding that the police were also investigating reported cases.

With cinematography by Benoit Soler, “Brown Skin Girl” competes with Rob Witt in “Therefore I Am” by Malik H. Sayeed, Mohammed Atta Ahmed, Santiago Gonzalez, Ryan Helfant and Billie Eilish and Santiago Gonzalez in Foo Fighters’ “Shame Shame” amongst others.
Wizkid and SAINt JHN joined Beyonce in the 2019 record, “Brown Skin Girl” for her 2019 soundtrack album, The Lion King: The Gift.
This collaboration earned Wizkid his first Grammy Award in March and a #72 spot in the Billboard Hot 100 in 2019.
Super Eagles Drop In Latest FIFA Ranking
The Super Eagles of Nigeria has dropped seven places to 34th position in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking.
The ranking was released on Thursday and published on FIFA’s official website.
Following their slide, the Eagles are now in fifth place in Africa.
It was a case of mixed fortunes for the Eagles’ Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifying group opponents.
While Liberia moved up three spots to 150, Central Africa Republic and Cape Verde dropped to 123rd and 77th positions respectively.
However, Belgium remain at number one, Brazil are second, France third, England fourth and Euro 2020 winners Italy are fifth.
In sixth place is Argentina, the seventh spot has Spain while Portugal, Mexico and USA are eight, ninth and tenth respectively.
