Buhari presents 2022 budget to National Assembly Thursday
The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), will lay the 2022 Appropriation Bill before the National Assembly on Thursday.
The Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, stated this while presiding over the plenary on Tuesday.
He urged the Senate Committee on Finance to expedite action on the Revised Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper which the President forwarded to the red chamber on Tuesday, and submit their report for consideration at plenary on Wednesday.
The budget presentation was coming early enough due to the January to December fiscal budgetary policy by the 9th National Assembly.
It is recalled that President Buhari presented the 2021 N10.8 trillion budget on 8th October 2020 which enabled the parliament to pass the document into law for its take-off implementation in January 2021.
