NLC reacts as FG suspends fuel subsidy removal.
The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has demanded that the federal government should re-engage the organised labour in discussions in order to find mutually acceptable solutions to the current swamp in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sub-sector.
NLC also urged the Federal Government to announce the withdrawal of its plans to increase the pump price of petrol in the country.
The President of Nigerian labour congress (NLC), Mr Ayuba Wabba, made this appeal in a letter addressed to state governors and jointly signed by the General Secretary of the congress, Mr Emanuel Ugboaja.
Recall that the Federal government on Monday said there won’t be any removal of fuel subsidy due to perceived difficulties associated with it.
Gov. Wike will never become president: Primate Ayodele
The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele said the Governor of Rivers State Nyesome Wike will never become the President of Nigeria.
The cleric made this known via a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, on Tuesday.
The spiritual leader also warned that Wike will break the People’s Democratic Party if his activities are not corrected by leaders of the opposition party. Adding that he foresees PDP governors fighting him while the EFCC will also go after his government.
Ayodele further warned Wike not to run for the presidency because he can’t become Nigeria’s president.
He however, warned the leaders to handle it well to avoid more issues coming up within the party as a result of the convention.
Zulum hosts families of 24 people kidnapped in Chibok
Governor Babagana Umara Zulum met with the families of twenty-four people kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists in the Chibok Local Government Area.
Twenty-two women and two men were kidnapped in a recent attack on Kawtakare, Korohuma, and Pemi in Chibok.
