NGO Kick Starts One Voice Nigeria Project

A non-governmental organization, Passion for Peace Initiative, on Wednesday kick-started One Nigeria Project, a programme designed to raise awareness on the need for national unity.

Ambassador Olalekan George, Executive Director of the Organization said the project is the outcome of the expressed desire of Nigerians from all walks of life to have one indivisible and united Nigeria.

one voice Nigeria is born out of a national proposition, it is a national demand, the easterners, the westerners, and northern Nigeria, with the desire to be one indivisible and progressive nation.

Passion for Peace Initiative is executing the project in collaboration with the National Orientation Agency to raise awareness of Nigerians on the need for transparency, accountability, nationalism and patriotism.

The Director-General, National Orientation Agency, Dr. Garba Abari, at the news conference announced the commencement of the project that the partnership between the National Orientation Agency and the organization comes at a critical time when there is a need for the public enlightenment, especially among the youth.

He added that there is a need for peaceful coexistence in the nation, calling on the media to support the programme with a wide coverage of its events so that the messages will reach every Nigerian.

Passion for Peace Initiative is a non-governmental organization established in  2014 with the aim of promoting peaceful coexistence amongst Nigerians.
