Buhari Urges Corps Members Not To Undermine Nigeria Politically
President Muhammadu Buhari has admonished members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) not to be used by centrifugal forces to undermine the country, religiously, economically, or politically.
The President gave the advice when he hosted the Presidential NYSC Honours Awards ceremony at the State House Abuja, in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the corps.
He further directed the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation to ensure the employment of the 52 recipients and 13 Corps members in the 2019 set, who suffered disabilities in the course of their service.
Buhari who conferred the awards, granted separate awards of scholarship and a cash reward of N250,000 to the three best awardees from Benue, Anambra, and Kogi states, while N200,000 reward to all others.
