2023 Post-Election Review: INEC Calls on National Assembly to Make Law Allowing Election Duty Personnel to Vote

The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu has called on the National Assembly, to amend the constitution, to allow more participation by Nigerians in the electoral process.

Yakubu stated this on Wednesday in Lagos at the ongoing 2023 Post Election Review with media executives, to discuss the way forward in the Nigeria electoral process.

According to the INEC chairman, election observers, journalists, security personnel and others involved in elections duties, were away from their registration centres and unable to vote.

At the end of the review, stakeholders recommended that election observers should be allowed to vote.
