I Will Go Somewhere Else, Win Trophies If Man Utd Don’t Want Me, Says Ten Hag
Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag said he would depart the club and look to winning titles elsewhere if his services are no longer required as uncertainty trails his future at Old Trafford.
United left Pep Guardiola‘s Manchester City stunned on Saturday as they claimed a hard-fought 2-1 victory against their cross-town rivals at Wembley, with Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo both scoring in the first half.
On Friday, reports emerged that Ten Hag was on the brink of being axed as the club’s manager, even if his side won the FA Cup.
Questioned about his future in a post-match conference, Ten Hag said: “I don’t think about this. I’m in a project and we are exactly where we want to be.
“We have to do better and if they don’t want me anymore, then I’ll go anywhere else to win trophies because that is what I have done my whole career.
“There will be ups and downs, but you see, the team is developing, the team is winning and at the end of the day, it is about winning trophies.
“The team also plays to an identity, but you need the players to be available. You need a strong squad in top football, especially when you play in England and in Europe. The Premier League is so competitive, so you need a very good squad, and you need the players available in that squad.
