Controversial social media critic Martin Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has accused Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, of trying to intimidate #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protesters by confining them to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
VeryDarkMan made his remarks just before police used tear gas on protesters at Berger Roundabout in Abuja on Friday, asserting that the protesters shouldn’t be required to go to the stadium, as they are not footballers like Victor Osimhen or Jay Jay Okocha.
He urged President Bola Tinubu to engage with the protesters and warned against violence, stating he would turn over any protesters who resorted to aggression to the police.
The nationwide protests began on Thursday in Abuja and elsewhere, demanding an end to hunger and poor governance.
