ENUGU STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY HOLDS 20TH CONVOCATION CEREMONY
The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) recently celebrated its 20th convocation ceremony, a momentous occasion in the institution’s history.
The ceremony, held at the university’s Agbani campus, marked the graduation of 8,437 students with various degrees, including 9 first-class graduates.
ROLL VTR: Governor Peter Mbah, who was honored with an honorary doctorate in business administration, commended the University for its Rapid Transformation into a center of excellence.
He announced plans to establish a Center for Experiential Learning at the university, with the goal of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
He announced a N50 million grant to Professor Cyprian Mgbachi, the inventor of a cooking stove cell phone battery charger, to further develop his groundbreaking technology. He also promised to provide support to other innovators within the university.

The Vice Chancellor of ESUT, Professor Aloysius-Michael Okolie, revealed that 97% of the university’s programs have received accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC). He highlighted the increased demand for the university’s programs, attributing it to the enhanced study environment and substantial investment in resources.

The convocation ceremony also featured the award of honorary doctorate degrees to Governor Mbah and Bernd Bergmair, an Austrian global investor.
