We Have Nothing To Do With Atiku Campaigners – NRM
A political pressure group, the Nigeria National Rescue Movement, says it’s critical for former vice President Atiku Abubakar to run as presidential candidate on the ticket of the African Democratic Alliance, ADC, in the 2027 election.
The group says Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi should be on the ticket as vice president.
The group had put out an invitation to journalists for a press conference this Wednesday to announce and justify their position.
However late on Wednesday, the National Rescue Movement,NRM, raised the alarm that the pressure group was a clone, using a bastardized form of its name to make mischief.
In a statement signed by Peter Letsuwa, National Publicity Secretary of NRM, the party distanced itself from the invitation, calling it, the action of political jobbers who are intent to deceive the public.
The NRM warned against the use of a cloned version of its name to attempt to achieve a political objective which contradicts all the party stands for.
