SOKEZA APC Youth Movement: A Call for Strategic Youth Inclusion in the Renewed Hope Agenda

The SOKEZA APC Youth Movement (Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara) has successfully concluded a comprehensive restructuring that has repositioned it as the most coordinated and purposeful youth platform within the All Progressives Congress in the North-West.

We acknowledge with appreciation the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the visible progress recorded under the Renewed Hope Agenda. We equally commend our governors and party leaders for their efforts in stabilising and developing our states.

However, available data and on-the-ground realities demand that we speak frankly and constructively:

1. The North-West has consistently delivered the highest number of votes for the APC in national elections and currently enjoys a significant share of federal appointments. Yet the proportion of these opportunities allocated to persons below 40 years remains disproportionately low.

2. Major federal interventions in agriculture, infrastructure, digital economy, and youth empowerment that target our three states often bypass structured youth platforms, leading to limited trickle-down impact on the demographic that worked hardest for the party’s victories.

3. With the 2027 cycle already in view, sustainable political stability requires deliberate, measurable inclusion of youth at decision-making and benefit-sharing levels.

Consequently, the SOKEZA APC Youth Movement respectfully places the following demands before the party leadership at state and national levels:

– A minimum of 40% of all political appointments, board positions, and special adviser roles from the North-West zone be reserved for competent youth nominees presented through SOKEZA structures.
– All federal and state empowerment programmes, contracts, and interventions in Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara be routed through the movement’s verified database to guarantee transparency and equitable distribution.
– Immediate constitution of a Joint Youth Inclusion Committee comprising representatives of the presidency, the three state governments, and SOKEZA leadership to monitor compliance.

We remain irrevocably committed to the APC, to President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, and to the progress of our states. Our demand is not born out of confrontation but out of a sincere desire to strengthen the party by rewarding the loyalty and energy of its most vibrant demographic.

We invite all well-meaning stakeholders to engage us constructively. The North-West youth are ready to contribute, ready to deliver, and ready to be carried along fully.
