Super Eagles: Nigeria, Kosovo in talks over international friendly

The Super Eagles are set to face Kosovo in an international friendly.

Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca made the announcement when he paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of the National Sports Commission, NSC, Bukola Olopade in his office on Friday.

“We are proposing a friendly match between the Nigeria National team and the Kosovo National team and we are also ready to have capacity building in Judo where we have produced several world and Olympic Champions,” Konjufca was quoted by the NSC media.

It will be the first-ever meeting between the Super Eagles and the Europeans.

Kosovo came close to qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2026, losing 1-0 to Turkey in the European playoffs.

Franco Foda’s side thrashed Andorra 3-0 in a friendly last month.
