A New Inspector General Of Police May Replace Egbetokun
Council state begins at the state house with President BolaAhmed Tinubu presiding.
The president is expected to present two critical nominations to the council including the replacement for out gone Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Yakubu Mahmud and a new inspector general of police.
The president will also present a nominee for the position of chairman of the National Population Commission, NPC.
The National Police Council will meet at 2 pm this Thursday to likely ratify the new inspector general of police, whose name will be forwarded to the Senate for confirmation.
