Abducted Ex-President Jonathan’s Cousin Regains Freedom After Two Weeks.
Mr Jephthah Robert, the kidnapped cousin of former President Goodluck Jonathan, has regained freedom from his captors.
Robert was whisked away from the front of his residence at Biogbolo-Epie suburb of Yenagoa, the state capital, by the gunmen on January 24.
The victim spent 14 days in the kidnappers’ den.

Austin Ekeinde, the media aide to the founder and chief executive officer of Zeetin Engineering, Azibaola Robert, who is the younger brother of Jephthah, confirmed his release.
He said, “We are glad to confirm that our brother, Mr Jephthah Robert Yekorogha, has finally regained his freedom and reunited with the family after a protracted ordeal in the hands of his kidnappers.
“He regained (his) freedom in the early hours of today, Monday, February 7, 2022. No information on whether or not ransom was paid before he regained his freedom.
“He is in good health but would see his doctor for routine medical check-ups.”
The family expressed appreciation to the Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, and the State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS) for their assistance.
