Abuja Roads Empty As Residents head to the polls

It is like Ceasar’s census. Every body has headed home to their provinces to be counted.

That is how serious Nigeria’,s 2023 election is to many Abuja residents who have traveled to their different states to cast their ballot in the presidential election which holds today.

Abuja roads are like reclaimed war zone, with only security vehicles moving around.

The city center may not reflect the whole scenarios.

In Mpape , suburb of the Nigerian capital city, voters started milling to the voting centers as early as 7 am. The election officials were yet to arrive some of the polling places we visited.
The election is supposed to begin at 8.00 am.
