As political parties begin early preparations for Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has rolled out a nationwide online membership registration platform aimed at expanding its support base.

In Enugu State, party stakeholders, members and supporters gathered to officially flag off the membership mobilization, registration and revalidation exercise, aligning with similar activities taking place across the country. The event which witnessed large turnout of members and those intending to join the party was another moment of hope and assurance of the fast growth and momentum the ADC party is gathering in a short period before the election.

Speaking during the event, the Enugu State Chairman of the ADC, Stella Chukwuma, stressed the importance of unity among party members, noting that collective effort and internal cohesion would be critical in strengthening the party ahead of future electoral contests.

She also disclosed that the party’s stakeholders would soon hold strategic meetings to address issues that could affect the unity, growth and forward movement of the party in the state.

As part of the exercise, a practical demonstration was conducted to guide members through the registration process.

The Chairman of the Membership Mobilization, Revalidation and Registration Committee in Enugu State, Barrister Chukwuemeka Okereke, provided detailed explanations on the steps required for successful manual registration.

Similarly, the Technical Presenter for the online platform, Engineer Calistus Okorie, walked participants through the step-by-step procedures for registering digitally, highlighting the ease and accessibility of the new system.

The committee chairman later officially inaugurated the 17 Local Government Area chairmen in Enugu State, mandating them to commence grassroots mobilization and ensure that membership registration reaches every ward in the state.
