The military says the Nigerian Air Force has killed many terrorists and destroyed their facilities at the fringes of sambisa forest in Borno State.

The Coordinator Defence Media Operations, Major General Enenche said the most recent of these gains were recorded in a series of devastating air strikes targeting terrorists’ locations at Bula Bello and Ngoske on the fringes of the Sambisa Forest in Borno State.

He noted that the air interdiction missions were executed after credible intelligence reports indicating that the terrorists were using some settlements to launch attacks on civilian population.

Major General Enenche noted that the subsidiary Operation Long Reach being conducted by the Air task force of Operation Lafiya Dole is yielding results in the push to end the activities of Boko haram terrorists in the North East of Nigeria.

According to him, the Air Task Force, ATF, dispatched fighter jets as well as an Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance aircraft on the terrorists hideouts.
