APC caucus holds parallel congress in Osun LGAs
Some members of the All Progressives Congress on Saturday held a parallel congress in some local governments in the state.
The Osun Progressive (TOP), a caucus group that has the backing of Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola in Osogbo and Ife Local Government areas held a separate congress away from the APC.
In Osogbo, members of the APC caucus group held their congress at Ola-Oni Centre, Aregbe Area, Osogbo, while those who belong to the IleriOluwa group held their congress at the Osogbo Federal Constituency Office, Ladsol area of the State capital.
Also in Ife East Local Government, elections were held on Saturday.
It was gathered that a consensus agreement could not be made during the stakeholders meeting in the local government.
Elections were held and winners were subsequently declared.
