BBNaija: Charly Boy lambasts Nigerian Youths for Choosing reality show over national issues
Musician and activist, Charlie Boy Oputa, has lambasted Nigerian youths who are consumed by the ongoing reality show, Big Brother Naija {BBNaija} intstead of national issues.
In a series of tweet on his official handle on Monday, Charlie Boy, is worried that activities of housemates in the BBNaija garner thousands of reactions from Nigerian youths on social media much more than important national issues.
The controversial entertainer noted that when it comes to voting, youths are more eager to vote in the BBNaija activities rather than cast their ballots in national, state and local elections. He pointed out that in spite of the disturbing trend, Nigerians will still conveniently go to bed at night and hope to wake up to a country they never created.
Charlie Boy Oputa enjoined Nigerian youths to take seriously issues of Nigeria, rather than such mundane issues of BBNaija.
