Boko Haram Attack. 6 killed, UN Hub, WFP Warehouse looted

Six people have been killed and many soldiers injured in Damasak in Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State as Boko Haram insurgents loyal to Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) stormed the area on Saturday night.
It was learnt that three women,two soldiers and a man lost their lives during this attack.

Locals also said that the United Nations Hub housing all the workers of the organization was destroyed. The hub was created as a support system for victims of Boko Haram.
It was also gathered that the home of the traditional ruler of Damasak and Norwegian Refugees Commission (NRC) facilities in Fulatari Ward were also torched.
The attackers also looted the warehouse of the World Food Programme carting away medicine and other medical equipment from the government hospital in the area.

The Chairman of Mobbar LGA Mustapha Bunu Kolo while speaking to the Press on the attack described the attack as “worrisome” and said that they also catered away a brand new ambulance deployed to the hospital and an unspecified number of vehicles belonging to the NGOs and individuals
