Burial of Mr Ibu Begins in Enugu – WATCH VIDEO
Family, friends and mourners have gathered in Amuri, Nkanu West, hometown of Mr Ibu to bid him a final farewell.
Among the prominent attendees are Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra state, Emeka Rollas, National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria; and several other Nollywood actors and dignitaries.
Mr Ibu die in March 2024 of cardiac arrest in Lagos.
The death of the comic actor followed complications from the amputation of one of his legs.
The Enugu-born actor came to the limelight in 2004 with the movie “Mr Ibu,” featuring another popular actor, the late Ita Iheme.
The deceased starred in more than 200 Nollywood films, including ‘Mr Ibu,’ ‘Mr. Ibu and His Son,’ ‘Coffin Producers,’ ‘Husband Suppliers,’ ‘International Players,’ ‘Mr. Ibu in London,’ ‘Police Recruit’ and many others.
The graduate of the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu State, died at the age of 62.
