Champions League: Kanu leads CAF team to inspect Godswil Akpabio Stadium

Enyimba chairman, Nwankwo Kanu on Friday, led the CAF Confederation of African Football (CAF) inspection team on a visit to the Godswil Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday.

The Peoples’ Elephant will compete in the CAF Champions League next season.

The Nigeria Professional Football League champions will play their home matches at the ground.

Their home ground, Enyimba International Stadium, Aba is suitable to host matches in the Champions League according to CAF.

Enyimba will face Libya’s Al Ahli Benghazi in the first round of the competition.

The Aba giants have won Africa’s biggest club competition twice in the past.
