Conduct your Affairs with Humility; that’s the only path to God (Homily for the 22nd Sunday)
Fr Stan invites us to embrace the path of humility by recognizing our total dependence on God. Faith invites us to realize that all we have and are come from God. This should move us to give God thanks always and not glorify ourselves. We must always be mindful of our human frailties, finitude and finality. The Gospel parable today challenges our worldly honor codes and places our gaze on God as the origin and destiny of all things. God alone will honor us on the last day if we embraced a simple and humble life of service to others, especially the poor without seeking any recognition or praise.
