Corruption Tori, a television production by Signature Communications Limited with support from MacArthur Foundation has been rated as a frontline programme that is raising the consciousness of local communities to the negative impact of corruption in Nigeria.
The Zonal Director of the Enugu national station of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, Bennie Mordi, gave the pass mark to the programme when a Signature Communications Limited delegation led by the Chief Executive Officer, VinMartin Ilo paid a courtesy visit to the management of NTA in Enugu.
Bennie Mordi, whose Enugu NTA station broadcasts the Igbo language version, “Mpu Na Aghugho” of Corruption Tori said by producing the Programme in the local language, issues about corruption have been brought strongly to the local communities.
She promised that NTA Enugu station would strengthen its relationship with Signature Communications Limited as a means of driving the fight against Corruption
In his remarks, VinMartin Ilo appreciated the relationship between Signature Communications Limited and NTA, adding that the challenge of corruption needs collective effort to be addressed effectively. He explained that Corruption Tori which is produced in Pidgin English, Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba was conceptualized to drive the campaign against corruption to the grassroots.
Corruption Tori is broadcast on Africa Independent Television, AIT, NTA Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Kaduna, Enugu and other partner television stations across the country.
