Corruption Tori Launch Anti-Corruption School Club in Abuja

Corruption Tori team on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to Junior Secondary School, Mpape, Abuja to officially launch the First Corruption Tori Anti-Corruption School Club in Abuja.

The Anti-Corruption School Club is an advocacy program initiated by Corruption Tori to educate Nigerian school students on the dangers of Corruption, how it affects their personal life and also hand over the war on corruption to them.

Launching the Anti-Corruption school Club, the Chief Executive Officer of Signature TV, producers of Corruption Tori, VinMartin Obiora Ilo said the club will further boost the government’s effort to tackle corruption.

Ilo who highlighted that many public schools are suffering the corrupt practices of some government officials, where funds meant for infrastructural development of public schools is diverted for their private use.

A total sum of Twenty Thousand Naira was donated by Corruption Tori to kick off the anti-corruption club in the school.

The Chairman Parent-Teachers Association (PTA), Mohammed Kudu, appreciated the team for choosing Junior Secondary school Mpape to start the club.

Kudu discourage the student from engaging in exam Malpractice which is corruption and urged them to take the message to their various homes as anti-corruption ambassadors.

The school principal Yahaya Daudu, thanked the Corruption Tori team for finding the school worthy.

He promised to strengthen the relationship between the school and Corruption Tori.

A student of the school, Jacinta Nongen while giving the vote of thanks, appreciated the school management and the teachers for their support.

The event also featured singing of an anti-corruption song by the school students, presentation of gifts and a group photograph.

Corruption tori is a program produced by Signature TV, supported and sponsored by the MacArthur Foundation.
