As Nigerians express concern about the credibility of the 2023 general elections, a coalition of over twenty-four Civil Society Organizations staged a peaceful protest in Abuja on Tuesday over the delay by President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the amended electoral bill into law.

The protesters who gathered at the Unity Fountain carried different placards calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the bill immediately to prevent rigging in Nigeria’s election.

Some other protesters who spoke to our correspondent urged President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the bill in order to enable the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to prepare for the 2023 general election.

Earlier, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina, while featuring on a television programme, said that President Buhari would in a matter of hours, sign the bill.
