Davido celebrates as Supreme Court upholds Adeleke’s election victory

Nigerian Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, aka Davido, has reacted to the victory of his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke at the Supreme Court.

The apex court on Tuesday upheld Adeleke’s victory in the July 12, 2022 governorship election in Osun State.

Reacting to the judgement via his Twitter handle, an elated Davido wrote, “We go Dey shock dem like high tension!! @AAdeleke_01.”

Recalled that Davido had taken to social media to seek God’s intervention in the court ruling.

Airing his opinion, Davido, the music star who was consequential to his uncle’s victory at the polls took to his Twitter account stating, “Osun State Election Petition hearing comes up at the Supreme Court today. We look forward to the judicial affirmation of @AAdeleke_01
(The people’s) mandate. The hardest part is done, winning a free and fair Election. May God let the court do the right thing.”(sic)

Hours before the judgment was delivered, Senator Adeleke wrote, “God is going to win today.”

Davido replied, “Amen unc. we got this!”
