DSS STAFF AND MANAGEMENT WELCOME NEW DG, ASSURE LOYALTY

The Management and Staff of the Department of State Services DSS on Monday welcomed the appointment of Adeola Ajayi, as the new Director General of the Agency by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja by the Spokesperson of the Service, Dr Peter Afunaya.

The statement said while wishing the outgone DGDSS, Alhaji Yusuf Magaji Bichi success in his future endeavours, Management and Staff of the Service welcomed the new DG and assured him of their cooperation, support and loyalty.

President Bola Tinubu had approved the appointment of new Directors-General for the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the Department of State Services (DSS).

According to a statement on Monday by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s spokesman, Amb. Mohammed Mohammed has been appointed as the new D-G of the NIA, while Adeola Ajayi takes the helm as the new D-G of the DSS.

He added that Ajayi, the new DSS D-G, had risen through the ranks to attain his new post of D-G of the Service.

He said Ajayi had served as State Director in Bauchi, Enugu, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Kogi at various times.

He said the new appointments followed the resignation of the previous NIA and DSS chiefs.
