EDO GOVT. REAFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR RESIDENTS AT RAMADAN LECTURE
The Edo State Government on Sunday reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the welfare of all residents, irrespective of faith, tribe, or background, as part of its vision for a peaceful and inclusive society.
Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, made this statement at the 13th Ramadan lecture.
The event was held in collaboration with the Edo chapter of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA).
Represented by Dr Suleman Ikhuoriah, a member of the Edo Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC), Ikhilor emphasized the significance of Ramadan as a time for spiritual renewal, reflection, and unity.
He also extended warm greetings to the Muslim community, congratulating them on the commencement of the holy month.
