Eid el-Fitr: NSCDC Deploys 1,850 Personnel To Kaduna, 780 In Gombe

The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna Command, CC Idris Yahaya Adah, has ordered the immediate deployment of 1,850 officers and men across the state to ensure a hitch-free Eid-al-Fitr celebration.

This was contained in a statement by DSC Habeeb Badamosi, NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Kaduna Command.

According to the statement, Adah further directed that the officers deployed across the state must remain valiant and tactically prepared to protect lives and property against criminals before, during and after the Eid-al-Fitr celebration.

He said critical national assets and infrastructure are of great value to the nation and directed all personnel deployed for this year’s Eid-al-Fitr celebration to ensure they are protected.

Similarly, the Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Gombe State Command, Achir Abraham, on Thursday, announced the deployment of 780 personnel for robust security arrangements and crime prevention.

Abraham disclosed that those deployed would maintain safety before, during and after this year’s Eid el-Fitr celebration in Gombe.

The Commandant’s announcement was contained in a press statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the command, DSC Buhari Sa’ad.

Abraham stressed that personnel would be deployed on major roads, patrol teams and surveillance squads to cover critical national assets, worship centres, recreation centres, marketplaces, motor parks, shopping centres and black spots across the state for adequate security of lives and properties.

“780 personnel have been deployed for robust security arrangements and crime prevention for Eid celebration. On behalf of the entire officers and men, I heartily rejoice and felicitate with all Muslim faithful in the state as they celebrate this year’s Eid el-Fitr,” Abraham’s statement partly said.

He encouraged Muslim faithful to propagate peace, demonstrate love, forgiveness and tolerance irrespective of religious affiliation.

The two commandants wished all residents a happy Eid-al-Fitr celebration, and advised them to be vigilant and watch out for strange faces, or any form of criminals and report to the security agency in the state for immediate arrest and prosecution.
