Enugu born fun-spot proprietor murdered in Abuja

Suspected Cultist Saturday night killed one Mr Chukwuma Uzochukwu, a native of Adu Achi in Oji River LGA Area of Enugu state.
Until his death, he was a fun-spot owner in the Wumba area of Apo village, FCT Abuja

Information gathered from eye witnesses revealed that suspected cultists numbering about sixteen attacked and killed the business man in his business premises about 10pm.

“The hoodlums who stormed the area in commando style also attacked and wounded other innocent people with matchetes but unfortunately it was Oga Chukwuma that the killed”, one eye witness said.

The younger sister of the deceased who narrated what happened in tears said he arrived the scene during the attack but never knew that the victim whom the hoodlums attacked with dangerous weapons was her brother.

“When the attackers left we all rushed to help the victim who was lying in a pool of his own blood. That was when I discovered that the man on the ground was my brother. What did my brother do? What did he do?”

signaturetv.org learnt that policemen from the Apo Police Station that arrived the scene about an hour after the crime say investigation is ongoing and no one has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Relations of the deceased told our correspondent that the body of the deceased has been deposited in a mortuary outside Abuja, as most morgues in Abuja are filled to capacity and refused to accept new corpses.

A neighbor who spoke to Signaturetv.org on condition of anonymity said Chukwuma had been continuously harassed allegedly because of his dominance of the business in the area.

They say his fun spot was always well patronized and most weekends was over flowing with fun seekers who came to enjoy mouth watering delicacies and an in-house live band.
