The volume and the value of stocks traded on the floor of the Nigeria Stock Exchange maintained a negative stance at the close of trade on Friday.
The volume of stocks traded fell to One Hundred and Ninety Million, Two Hundred and Eighty Thousand Eighty-Two from Two Hundred and Fifty- Seven Million, Five Hundred and Fifty-Five, Nine Hundred and Forty-One trade on Thursday, a twenty-six point seven two percent reduction.
The value also went down from Three Billion, Five Hundred and Twenty-Nine Million, Six Hundred and Twenty-One Thousand, Three Hundred and Eighty-Three Point Five Nine to Three Billion, Five Hundred and One Million, Eight Hundred and Thirty-One Thousand Four Hundred and One Point Seven Five Naira, A Five Point Six Four Percent Fall.
However, the All Share Index Rose to thirty-four thousand eight hundred and eighty-five point five one from Thirty-Four Thousand, Eight Hundred and Three from Thirty-Four Thousand, Seven Hundred and Sixty-Nine, a Zero Point two four percent Rise,
NATIONAL AVIATION HANDLING COMPANY PLC was the top most gainer among other 30 gainers. its share price rose to 2.4 naira from 2.2 traded on Thursday, a Nine Point Zero Nine percent gain per share.
However, PORTLAND PAINT NIGERIA PLC was the top loser among other 16 losers. Its share price plunged from 2.85 naira traded on Thursday to 2.61 An Eight Point Four Two percent fall.
