FA Cup: Arsenal Thrash Oxford 3-0 To Set Up 4th Round Tie With Man City

A brace from Eddie Nketiah and a solitary strike from Mohamed Elneny earned Arsenal a 3-0 win against Oxford United in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Arsenal will now face Premier League champions Manchester City in a mouth-watering FA Cup fourth-round clash.

Elneny headed the Gunners in front as he connected with Fabio Vieira’s set play at 63 minutes.

Vieira was again on hand to lay on Arsenal’s second on 70 minutes, slipping in a fine through-ball which was collected by Nketiah, rounded Oxford’s keeper before tapping home.

In the 76th minute, Nketiah grabbed his brace and Arsenal’s third, collecting a pass from Gabriel Martinelli before slotting home.

Bukayo Saka had gone down injured moments earlier and limped around the side of the pitch to be replaced by Emile Smith Rowe.

It was a return to action for Smith Rowe after a four-month injury lay-off.
