Federal Government urge Citizens to protect infrastructure and other Social amenities

The Federal Government on Thursday through the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Muhammad has urge citizens to always protect government infrastructure and telecommunications instead of destroying and vandalizing the amenities.
The minister stated this on Thursday in a town Hall meeting on vandalization of power and telecommunications infrastructure held in Maiduguri, the borno state capital.
According to the Minister, government can only create employment, when there is workable industry and infrastructure, urging the citizens to always take good care of infrastructure and telecommunication facilities in the state.
Lai Muhammad appreciated borno state governor Babagana Zulum, for being loyal to the people of borno state.
While giving his remarks, the Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Christopher Musa, said there is need for stable power as it would help the security agencies in protecting lives, government infrastructure and properties. Adding that there would be punishment for anyone caught destroying government facilities.
Musa called on opinion leaders in the state to collaborate with the Nigerian army in protecting public facilities in the state.
The Executive Director Finance, Galaxy Back bone, Umar Farouq, said cameras have been installed in different strategic places in borno state to monitor vandalism.
He called on security agencies and other stakeholders to work together as it is going to bring a greater achievement in the state.
Also speaking at the town hall meeting, the Borno state commissioner of Home Affairs and Information, Baba Kura Abba Jato, appreciated the governor for bringing back power to some communities without electricity in Borno state.
The town hall meeting had in attendance borno state governor Babagana Zulum, Minister of Communication, Minister of Information and Culture Lai Muhammad, and other top government officials.
