FINTIRI DISMISSES ADC, OPENS DOOR FOR RETURNEES AHEAD OF PDP CONVENTION – WATCH VIDEO
The Chairman of the PDP National Convention Organising Committee, Governor Umaru Fintiri, has declared the party’s secretariat open, promising to deliver the “fairest and most credible convention” at the November 15 gathering in Ibadan.
The 119 member committee was inaugurated in Abuja on Tuesday.
The Adamawa State governor, Umaru Fintiri dismissed the coalition under the African Democratic Congress ADC,as mere breeze that will soon lose its presence.Fintiri threw open the doors of the party to its members who have joined the ADC or the APC to return and assured stakeholders that his committee would build consensus, reconcile aggrieved members, and ensure a hitch-free convention that will produce a stronger National Working Committee to steer the PDP into the 2027 elections.
The Adamawa governor further cautioned party members against washing dirty linen in the media, urging them instead to respect internal mechanisms to resolve any grievances and prepare for the contest ahead.
With the stage now set, Fintiri says the success of the Ibadan convention will not only reaffirm the PDP’s unity but also position the party as a formidable force ahead of the 2027 general elections.
