Fuel Subsidy: A Self Inflicted Injury In Nigeria – Madaki Ameh

An oil and gas expert Madaki Ameh says fuel subsidy is a self inflicted injury in Nigeria according to him the current price of petroleum in the market is as a result of the block damage we have in the country.

The oil and gas expert was speaking when he featured on the Signature Show on AIT on the Sunday. He said the amount of money mapped out for subsidy is compared to how many poor Nigerians who have cars or makes use of petroleum products.

Madaki said that subsidy is meant to be for the poor and yet the rich are the ones enjoying the subsidy, he said with the economic indices in the market, there was no way a price of fuel or diesel should be sold more than one hundred to one hundred and twenty-naira.
