GOVERNOR MBAH SPLASHES N50 MILLION NAIRA AND OTHER NON CASH REWARDS ON VICTORIOUS ENUGU RANGERS FC

The Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, has announced a cash reward of N50 million in addition to non-cash gifts to Rangers International Football Club of Enugu, winners of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

The governor announced this when he treated the Nigerian champions to a state banquet at the Government House, Enugu at the weekend thanking them for writing Enugu State on the African and global map.

He observed that the club has not experienced such victory in the last 8 years after their last win in 2016 years.

Mbah said Rangers International transcends generations; adding that it is a unifying factor for the state and the entire south east region, putting Enugu State in the hearts and minds of the people of the country and beyond.

He urged the players and officials to continue aiming for the best especially with their participation in the Confederation of African Champions CAF competition and other tournaments.

The governor assured them that the government and people of the state and other Nugerians will never get tired of supporting them.

The General Manager and CEO of Rangers International, Amobi Ezeaku, who went down memory lane, appreciated Governor Mbah for taking Rangers as his pet project.

Ezeaku said the Rangers players are happy and elated with what the Enugu state government is doing at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium Stadium, Enugu.
