GOVERNOR PETER MBAH DISTRIBUTES PALLIATIVES TO ENUGU CITIZENS
The Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah on Thursday, flagged off another round of the distribution of palliatives in the state with a warning that the exercise should not be politicized.
Performing the official flag-off after the inspection of the foodstuff, which were largely grains, Governor Mbah assured that the distribution of the palliatives would be carried out at intervals.

He said that the palliatives were jointly provided by the federal and state governments to help the country.
He explained that the distribution of the items was only a short term measure put in place while waiting for long term measures that will ultimately eradicate poverty and ensure zero hunger in the state comes into fruition.
The ultimate objective he said is for the people to be in employment and eventually be self sufficient through agriculture, businesses or provision of services.

Governor Mbah directed the committee in charge of the palliatives distribution to ensure that the items get to the poor across all the 260 wards in the state.
