House of Reps Member calls for support for Rotary Club
The Deputy majority leader of the House of Representatives, Peter Akpatason has called on Nigerians to support the Rotary Club of Nigeria to enable reach out to many Nigerians who need support services.
He stated this at the investiture ceremony of Karu Housing Estate Rotary club Abuja on Sunday
Signature TV correspondent Chibueze Obi said the Majority leader in his goodwill message stated that there were many Nigerians across the country who need support services
He stated that one of the best ways to reach out to this population was to invest and support the rotary club of Nigeria who are devoted to extending and providing these support services to the masses.
Akpatason, therefore, called on Nigerians to provide financial support to the club to enable it to provide these support services as the club was a reliable platform.
Nimi Lawrence, the immediate past president of Karu Housing Estate Rotary Club Abuja, highlighted some of the support services already provided by the club during his tenure which according to him include a solar-powered monitored water borehole in ziyadna community, orozo in Abuja Municipal and provision of toilet facility to members of Dogbadna community.
While appreciating Nigerians who supported him financially, Lawrence called for their continuous support to enable the new leaders to continue in its humanitarian services.
The newly elected and the first female president of Karu Housing Estate branch of Rotary club of Nigeria, who took over the leadership of the club at the investiture ceremony solicited partnership and support from Nigerians to enable the club to uplift the less privileged and make the society better.
The investiture ceremony was to inaugurate the newly elected leaders of the club for the next one year.
The ceremony had in attendance many prominent Nigerians including Honorable Luke Onofiok, the chairman house of Reps Committee on Judiciary.
