INTELLIGENCE SHARING MAKES OUR WORK EASY- GOC 82 DIVISION
The General Officer Commanding, GOC 82 division of the Nigerian Army Enugu, Major General U.T Musa has decried the unwillingness of the people of the South-East to share timely information with the army to help in curtailing insecurity in the region.
According to the Commander, one of the greatest challenges he had as a GOC of the division was the unwillingness of the people to give the army information that will help it carry out its constitutional duty.
General Musa was speaking to the press shortly after he commissioned some projects in the barracks of the division.
While calling on the people of the South-East to always make information available to the army, Musa said from the arrests they have made so far, the criminal elements are bent on confusing the people of the South-East into believing it is an agitation for self-government whereas they are out to make life unbearable for the people in the region.
The GOC used the opportunity to urge the officers and men under his command not to lose focus on why they are wearing the uniform and make sure that peace returns to the South-East.
