As Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB, declared Monday 17th February last day for the purchase of 2020 UTME Examination form, some students have pleaded for the extension of date as they crowded the JAMB headquarters in Bwari, JAMB offices and CBT centers across the country.
Some of the students waited at the JAMB hesdquarters in Bwari, Abuja, pleaded with the authorities for the extension of the exercise.
While interacting with some of them, one said she had gotten a pin but had not done her final registration which she intended to do today but was surprised that she could not access the JAMB portal when she went there today, Monday to complete the registration process.
In an interview with another admission seeker, he said the delay in the purchase of the JAMB form for him was the inability of his parents to raise the required amount on time until today, he therefore pleaded with the JAMB registrar to extend the time for registration.
Reports from across the country indicate that candidates who wanted to take advantage of the last day of registration to register for the 2020/2021 JAMB examination could not do so as both the JAMB headquarters, the various offices in the country and the CB centres were shut before midday.
”We are surprised that even the JAMB headquateters did not open at all today”, one of the candidates lamented.
Candidates were seen clustered at the JAMB headquarters in Bwari, Abuja, the state headquarters, CB centers and other registration posts across the country in anticipation that they will be able to register for the examination before the end of the exercise.
Some of them who spoke on the condition of anonymity appealed to the authorities to extend the registration period to accomodate the candidates for the examination.
