JUST IN: NIMC Portal Restored After 1 Week Down
The National Identity Management Commission, NIMC’s portal, the NIN Verification Service (NVS) is fully restored and back to life, after one week of temporary unavailable.
In a statement issued on Saturday by Head, Corporate Communications, Kayode Adegoke said the National Identity Management Commission NIMC portal which went down due to maintenance by one of the commission’s network service providers on its infrastructure is now fully restored.
He said customers and service providers can now take full advantage of the two verification platforms, Tokenization and NVS, which both are effective for verification and authentication of the National Identity Number.
Adegoke said the commission apologies to the public for any inconveniences it might have caused the citizens.
He added that the commission will continue to come up with innovative identity management solutions to enhance its capacity to deliver on its mandate.
It was reported last week that the portal was temporarily unavailable which make Nigerians not able to obtain their national identity numbers or access and retrieve numbers for those already registered.
But after days of struggle and frustration, the portal is back to life for the customers to access it.
