JUST IN: POLICE ARREST SOWORE

Omoyele Sowore, a former presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has been arrested by the police at the premises of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

This was revealed by a human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, on his X handle. The lawyer said that Omoyele was at the court to witness proceedings in the Nnamdi Kanu case.

You may recall that Omoyele had led a protest monday for Kanu to be freed, which police said contravened a court order. Some of the protesters were charged to court and remanded by a magistrate court in Kuje Correctional Centre (prison) during the week.
