Labour Union Pickets Heritage Bank Over Sack Of 1,000 Support Workers
Labour union on Thursday, picketed the headquarters of the Heritage Bank at Victoria Island, Lagos, over the sack of 1, 000 support workers.
The National President of the National Union of Banks, Insurance and Financial Institutions Employees, Comrade Anthony Abakpa, during the protest, said the leadership of the bank did not follow due process before taking action.
According to him, the union would intensify its demands for justice, calling on the bank’s management to do the needful.
An effort to speak with the bank’s management; however, the staff on ground declined our request.
