The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu says political leaders must work together for the progress of the people not minding their political orientation.
Sanwo-Olu was speaking in Port Harcourt on Monday, while commissioning the Orochiri Worokwu flyover built by the Nyesom Wike administration in Rivers State.
He said that despite he and Wike being from diverse political orientations, they have come together to show that political leaders can work together for the progress and betterment of the people.
The Lagos State helmsman who also hailed the Governor who he described as “Mr Project” said whether Wike was liked or not, his performance in the area of infrastructural development of the state cannot be ignored.
In his speech at the ceremony, Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike said his administration will not disappoint the people of the State as the priority was the happiness of the people.
He assured them that the next Governor of the state can only be the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial flag bearer Sim Fubara as the party under his leadership has fulfilled all its promises to the people
He apologized for the inconveniences the on going projects may have caused but told them to understand that it was for the greater good and to ease unnecessary gridlock within the city.
Signature correspondent in Port Harcourt, Ifunanya Ilodianya reports that the Rivers State Government has successfully commissioned seven new bridges so far and has promised to complete more by April 2023.
